Digital imaging is a great tool for orthodontists, but do they use it in every case? Read on to find out how it’s helpful and when it’s used the most.
When you set off on a trip, you don’t just blindly start driving. You look at a map to figure out where you’re going, or you plug the address into your GPS and follow the directions. The point is, you follow a route that has been planned ahead of time.
Don’t you want the same thing with orthodontic treatment? Don’t you want a clear vision of the destination and a clear road map to get there?
That road map is exactly what Howard Spector, DDS, and our expert team at Millennium Park Orthodontics provide, starting with your first visit to our office. We use the very latest technology, called computerized visual imaging, to give you a sneak peek at what your teeth will look like when your treatment is finished along with a road map of what it will take to get there.
Computerized visual imaging is a powerful diagnostic tool that shows how your jaw, teeth, and surrounding bone will change as a result of your orthodontic treatment. At Millennium Park Orthodontics, we use a state-of-the-art system called the Quick Ceph® System.
First, we take images of your jaw, focusing mostly on the side profile view. Then, Dr. Spector uses the system to perform calculations to determine exactly how your mouth and teeth will respond to orthodontic treatment.
The system enables him to look at several different courses of action to determine the treatment route that will provide the best results for you.
The Quick Ceph System provides several benefits. It allows Dr. Spector to plan and implement your treatment much more quickly than he would otherwise be able to. And because the images and treatment plan are digital, your records will be much easier to organize and maintain, which will result in better service for you.
This kind of imaging also allows you and Dr. Spector to review your various treatment options and come to a consensus on the way forward. Knowing what your jawline and teeth will look like when you’re finished can be a huge motivator for you to start and stick with your treatment plan, whether it involves braces or aligners.
We want to give you every tool for a successful treatment, and computerized visual imaging is one of the best tools we have. We’ll repeat the process at the end of your treatment to make sure everything came out as planned, and we’ll occasionally add sessions in between to make sure your progress is on track.
If you want to know how orthodontic treatment will affect you, don’t leave the results to chance. Get a clear road map with computerized visual imaging. To learn more, book an appointment online or over the phone with Millennium Park Orthodontics today.
